One look everywhere
The theme you pick now carries through the desktop app, the extension popup and the download button shown on videos.
Your theme carries over
If you had picked one of the older themes, Epsilon moves you to the closest new design by itself.
Safer browser handoff
A download is paused in the browser while Epsilon takes it over, and it resumes there if Epsilon declines it.
Redirects handled
When a download link redirects, Epsilon uses the final address the browser ended up at.
No stranded large files
A slow check before a download no longer leaves a valid large file behind in the browser.

Up to 16 connections
Each file is split across up to 16 parallel connections into one pre-allocated file. Servers that push back get fewer next time — Epsilon remembers.
Exact-byte resume
Pause, crash, reboot — it continues from the exact byte. Automatic retries with back-off, and SHA-256 verification when you have a checksum.
BitTorrent, built in
Magnet links and .torrent files with DHT, peer exchange, UPnP / NAT-PMP port forwarding, per-file priority and seeding limits — written from the protocol specs.
YouTube & streaming video
Choose quality, audio-only or subtitles, grab whole playlists, and download HLS (.m3u8) and DASH (.mpd) streams natively.

Install the app
Run the setup and follow the wizard. Epsilon opens with a short checklist that shows what's connected.

Download anything
Click a download link, hit “Download this video” on a page, paste a magnet link, or press Alt+Shift+M to grab every link on the page.
For YouTube: Options › “YouTube & other sites” › “Download / update tools”, once.
Verify
Checksums.
Compare with Get-FileHash <file> in PowerShell to be sure nothing was altered.

Is Epsilon free?
Yes. Download the installer, run it, and use every feature — no trial, no ads.
How do I upgrade from an older version?
Download the new installer and run it. It upgrades the existing installation in place and keeps your settings, links, history, queues and unfinished downloads. You do not need to uninstall first.
Windows says "Windows protected your PC" — is that normal?
Yes. Microsoft SmartScreen shows this for new apps that do not yet have a paid code-signing reputation. Click "More info" then "Run anyway". You can confirm the file is genuine by comparing its SHA-256 with the one on this page.
Do I need administrator rights?
No. The installer installs for your user account only by default (an "all users" option is offered). Only the optional Windows-Update-pause speed boost needs admin rights.
How do I connect my browser?
The installer already registers Epsilon with Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. Browsers only require you to switch the extension on once — follow the three steps in the "Get started" section above.
How do I download from YouTube?
Open Epsilon › Options › "YouTube & other sites" › "Download / update tools" once. After that, paste a link or use the "Download this video" button on the page.
Does anything start downloading by itself?
Never. For every captured download you choose Start Download or Download Later.
How do I verify the file?
In PowerShell run Get-FileHash .\EpsilonDownloadManager-1.4.0-Setup.exe and compare the result with the SHA-256 shown below the download button.
